Kevin really enjoys catching snakes. Much to the dismay of his mother and sister, as a boy, Kevin owned as many as 25 different species of snakes. Grandma STILL says "You should have been a herpetologist." Corn aka Red Rat, Yellow Rat and Florida King snakes were a few of the favorites. His knowledge and passion for snakes is extensive. He knows something about and can identify most species of snakes worldwide. Captured snakes are never harmed. Florida Native snakes can be released into the wild. Non-native snakes are relocated as pets or can be donated to parks and zoos for educational purposes.
Snakes
Have a snake in your house? Want that snake removed? Give us call. Snakes, as with most wildlife in Florida, really do what they can to avoid you. On occasion a snake will enter a home. For the safety of the residents as well as the snake we suggest removal. Most snakes are non-aggressive, unless cornered. Most though not all of our native snakes are not venomous, there are some snakes that can be dangerous.

A pair of Florida Scarlet Snakes, male and female. Found together at the same location in Pinellas County. These small snakes are full grown. The appearance of the Florida Scarlet is very much like that of a  Scarlet King Snake. Not to be confused with the highly venomous Coral Snake, pictured above, with the yellow stripe. Permission to photograph FL Scarlet, thanks to John of St.Petersburg, FL.

VENOMOUS!
Southern Copperhead
The Southern Copperhead, rarely seen outside of the Florida Panhandle area will serve a nasty bite! Though experts say, the Southern Copperhead bite is not fatal to healthy adults, all venomous snakes should be avoided. Call Kevin if you think you have found a venomous snake - do NOT attempt to pick one up, nor corner one.
